TRAINING
Regulation 851 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) of Ontario requires that all lifting devices be operated and inspected by a "competent person".

Bison offers a variety of training programs to suit your needs related to your unique operating environment. Training is generally done at your site and at a time that is convenient to you. You are required to provide a quiet and comfortable training space with a projection screen and table for instructor use. The usual class size is 20 attendees. Training can also be extended to the shop floor for actual, hands on demonstrations. Adequate time must be allocated to present the appropriate material. Bison will assist in assessing your workplace training needs and proposing a program along with a quotation.
Training can also be done at Bison for a group size up to 10 members.

Presentations are made using PowerPoint slide projections with continual instructor commentary, examples and demonstration pieces. Open discussion and audience questions are encouraged. Each participant receives a bound booklet with a copy of each slide so that they can follow along and make notes during the presentation. The session ends with a test of their comprehension of the material that has been presented.
A certificate of achievement is provided for all attendees who pass the test.
