Bison's
25,000 square foot, manufacturing facility, is complete with steel
fabrication, machine shop and mechanical assembly equipment and
our tradesmen have the skills to complete almost any type of steel
fabrication project. We have three, 5 ton overhead cranes and 2
fork lift trucks do the heavy lifting around the shop and for loading/unloading
your products at our ground and dock level doors. We will build
to print but our fabrication customers appreciate that our engineering
department staff will offer creative technical advice to enhanced
their design concept to minimize material and fabrication costs.
Our fabrication
projects have included work stands, low and high capacity rolling
carts, towing fixtures, conveyor hooks, platforms, dock plates
and robot welding cell structures. We also do low volume, custom
flame cutting using CNC equipment that is accurate to +/- 1/32"
on material up to 3" thick. Bison routinely works with 4140,
8620, CSA 40.21- 44W, 50W and 100QT. Heat treatment is available.
We offer a variety of product finishes including shot peened bare
metal; sand blasting; black oxide; wet applied enamel and epoxy
paint; and powder coat paint.
The Canadian
Welding Bureau annually certifies Bison's welding facilities,
processes and operators to CSA Standard W47.1, Division 2.1. Our
Quality Management Program is certified to ISO 9001:2000, by Quasar.
As well, Ontario Power Generation, (OPG) has assessed our Quality
Management Program as compliant with CSA Standard Z299.3-85.
We can meet
non destructive testing requirements for magnetic particle inspection,
dye penetrant inspection, proof load testing and laboratory analysis
for material identification.
